Who We Are
The Nirmala Chellarams Centre for Entrepreneurship Skills (NCCES), one of Nigeria’s few dedicated centres committed to raising the next generation of Business Disruptors, Innovators, Economic Drivers and Employment Generators. The centre is being positioned to take the lead in teaching practical entrepreneurial skills to Nigerian Youth and other members and non-members of the University of Lagos community (Alumni, Faculty, Staff and their immediate families) to engender economic development.

Vibrant Community of Young and Matured People

An initiative of the Murli T. Chellaram Foundation, the NCCES will offer certificated courses, one-on-one counseling and mentoring, online learning materials and in-person networking opportunities, amongst other areas of Entrepreneurship Skills Development.  Once our scope of activities is expanded from the University of Lagos to Nigeria at large, both through our online platform and in-person training courses, we plan to reach over 1.5 million people.  It is our hope that our Vibrant Community, bound by the Entrepreneurial Values espoused by the late Murli T Chellaram and his wife Nirmala, forges mutually beneficial relationships that cut across social, ethnic and generational groups.
Programs we run

Specifically, the NCCES will implement knowledge gap inclusion programs that foster the development of entrepreneurship skills amongst undergraduates, working professionals, existing and aspiring entrepreneurs through its Excellence In Entrepreneurship (EIE) FREE ONLINE Certificate Course for everyone, through its in person/in-class category-based Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) targeting working professionals, existing and aspiring entrepreneurs and through its Workplace and Enterprise Readiness Program (WERP) targeting undergraduates. We will also host a quarterly forum called ‘Productivity Enhancement Series’ which helps stakeholders to understand and address complex challenges and processes associated with what they learn or have learnt in the classroom and how it applies in the real world; and identify, foster and promote the skills necessary for the effective development of skills necessary to strive in the 21st century business and work place.

Our Core value

We believe in the potential of the Nigerian youth as a vital socio-economic contributor and agent of change inclusive of all geographical regions and social circumstances in Nigeria.
